Frank L. Strock account book, 1883-1887.

This folder contains an account book of Frank Strock, Esq., of Gold Hill, Colorado. In addition to Strock's name and address as listed above, the front flyleaf of the volume notes that it was from his friend Charles J. Hammer, Des Moines, Iowa, August 10th, 1883, and it is stamped F. L. Strock Livery Stable (opposite American House) Boulder, Colo. The book contains financial accounts of various Boulder County individuals and businesses, many having to do with mining. An index of Strock's clients is on page 1. Most of the expenses listed in the first half of the book are for hauling wood, ores and other freight. Entries from page 100 to the end are for livery stable expenses, such as for renting a horse and buggy.
